Research Environment

Rehabilitation and Movement

Active communities and a focus on individual needs reinforce the effect of rehabilitative efforts. Based on these insights, we produce new knowledge.

The research environment aims to strengthen the field of knowledge on rehabilitation and physiotherapy interventions. It focuses on rehabilitation and movement for each individual, both on a personal level and as enhanced through active communities, while also seeking to develop and critically challenge physiotherapy practice in this context.

Focus Areas

We focus on...

developing projects that, through applied research, address target groups, intervention approaches and the structural conditions of professional practice, as well as the health policy initiatives that shape rehabilitation and citizen engagement.

Our aim is to generate knowledge that advances citizen-focused initiatives supporting people in leading active daily and working lives, by developing measures for acute and accurate diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. In collaboration with citizens, we design initiatives that enhance quality of life before, during and after illness or injury."

Our Research Projects

Our research projects span a wide range of topics related to rehabilitation and movement.

Collaboration

The research environment works together with partners from universities, regional and municipal authorities, general practice and the private sector to develop new, practical and relevant knowledge that strengthens physiotherapy and health care for citizens and their relatives, while also enhancing the competencies of health professionals.
