Are you passionate about education, curious about Scandinavian approaches to learning, and ready to take on an academic and personal challenge?
The Professional Bachelor's Degree in Education with an international profile combines academic quality, practical training, and a focus on teaching in diverse classroom settings.
You will explore Danish pedagogical traditions and gain the knowledge and skills needed to teach in Danish schools – including the public school system (folkeskole). Through internships in Denmark and abroad, you will gain hands-on experience that sets you apart and supports your personal and professional growth.
We welcome both international and Danish-speaking students, who will study side by side from day one in a vibrant international learning environment.
The programme is taught partly in English and partly in Danish. You begin your studies in English, and if you do not already meet the Danish language requirements, you will learn Danish as part of your studies. This enables you to work in Danish schools and contribute meaningfully to the national education system.
After two years of study, you will have the opportunity to apply for our Talent Programme (Honours Programme), designed for highly motivated students who want an even deeper academic challenge. The Talent Programme adds 10 ECTS to your degree and enhances your intercultural and professional competences. You will study alongside fellow students from the Danish-taught teacher education programme.
The programme is based at Campus Vordingborg, known for its strong educational community and supportive learning environment.
Along with the studies you combine theory and practice through the four periods of teaching experience at a school.
Teaching experience includes:
First year:
Your first internship is at a local Danish school: 5 spread out days in the autumn, then a block of 4 weeks in January and then 5 spread out days in the Spring.
Second year:
In the autumn 5 spread out days and the 4 weeks in January. It will be at local schools or International schools.
Third year:
One block of 8 weeks at a school in Denmark or abroad
Fourth year:
One block of 5 weeks at a school in Denmark
As a graduate from the Professional Bachelor's Degree in Education you will acquire a wide range of skills and competencies to work in international focused schools in Denmark and abroad.
