Research Environment
Chronic diseases represent a major societal challenge. We develop methods and tools that support people in leading a meaningful everyday life.
The Everyday Life and Health research environment encompasses three research programmes: Health Effects of CRAFT, Living with Chronic Illness, and Well-being in Later Life.
We design and conduct innovative research and development projects that foster health, well-being, and a meaningful everyday life.
Our primary target groups include individuals with impairments, life-threatening or chronic illnesses, as well as people in vulnerable positions.
We engage in mapping, developing, implementing, and evaluating health initiatives for both individuals, and groups within rehabilitation, palliative care, and health promotion. This entails ongoing knowledge generation and translation through interdisciplinary methods and tools tailored to the contexts in which we operate and apply knowledge.
Our research projects span a wide range of topics related to everyday life and health.
Projects are co-created with practitioners and user groups to ensure relevance and sustainability. We work in partnership with national and international universities and other research institutions, as well as with regional and municipal authorities, general practice, and other local stakeholders, alongside patient associations and other interest organisations.
