Research Environment

Psychiatry, disability and mental health challenges in the social sector.

Interdisciplinarity, community and a citizen-centred perspective strengthen efforts in psychiatry, disability and mental health challenges. This is the foundation on which we generate new knowledge.

Our ambition is to address current societal and practice-related challenges on a national and regional level in the areas of psychiatry and disability, working with children, young people and adults within the social sector.

Focus Areas

The research environment ‘Psychiatry, Disability and Mental Health Challenges in the Social Sector’ focuses on social work with people experiencing psychiatric, psychological and psychosocial difficulties.

Our ambition is to address current societal and practice-related challenges on a national and regional level in the areas of psychiatry and disability, working with children, young people and adults within the social sector.

In our projects we take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on the experiences, perspectives and needs of different actors (professionals, citizens and volunteers) to create, communicate and translate knowledge into professional, educational and research fields.

We produce practice-based research contributions to help solve current and pressing regional and national challenges within the social sector, always in close collaboration with stakeholders in the field.

Our Research Projects

Our research projects span a wide range of topics related to psychiatry, disability and mental health challenges in the social sector.

Collaboration

We work broadly with practitioners and other knowledge institutions and are eager to strengthen our collaboration with the wider community as well as with Danish and international research institutions.
