Research Environment
Combining food quality, nutrition, and health promotion opens new pathways for innovative and healthy initiatives in food and meals.
Our ambition is to combine knowledge and expertise in food quality, nutrition, and health promotion in order to create new, innovative, and healthy initiatives with food and meals. Within the research environment, there are two areas of focus, where it is particularly the intersection between them that contributes to fulfilling the ambitions and objectives.
Food Innovation
Our goal is to drive innovation in healthy, sustainable foods in close collaboration with regional and national stakeholders across the food industry. We combine knowledge of raw materials and technological expertise with insights into nutrition and consumer behavior to co-develop products and services grounded in research and evidence.
We work across disciplines to improve the culinary and nutritional quality of meals prepared by food and nutrition professionals. Development takes place in partnership with those who prepare the food, with strong involvement of target groups and the use of structured innovation processes.
Health Innovation
Our aim is to contribute to quality of life and health—both for healthy and ill individuals—throughout the lifespan. We combine our expertise in health promotion with knowledge of nutrition and food quality to strengthen individual capacity for action and make a real difference. This work is carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders, both private and public, and focuses on food, diet, and nutritional therapy.
Our research projects cover a wide range of topics related to food and health innovation.
We collaborate extensively with practitioners and other knowledge institutions, and we aim to further strengthen our engagement with society at large as well as with both Danish and international research institutions.
