Admission

In general, we strongly recommend that all applicants ask their school to fill out a verification form for the required subjects.
If one is not attached, we will ask for it if needed.General exemptions are exams from the Nordic countries, IB Exams and A levels exam (UK). If the hours for each subject are written on the exam/diploma you are also exempted from attaching a verification form.

You can assess if you have the required subjects at the right level, by having your high school, upper secondary school etc. fill out a verification form, with the number of hours, you have been taught in each subject. The Danish levels B-A levels are equivalent to:
- Mathematics A is equivalent to high level Mathematics approx. 375 hours
- Physics B is equivalent to Physics at intermediate level approx. 190 hours
- Chemistry B is equivalent to Chemistry at intermediate level approx. 190 hours
- English B is equivalent to English at intermediate level approx. 210 hours

We can accept other English proficiency tests but only after individual assessment. We cannot assess if your English test is accepted before receiving an application from you with documentation for the test attached

We accept supplementary courses that are officially recognized by your high school/upper secondary school. Some applicants have the possibility of private tutoring by one of their teachers, which are then verified by the school principal.
We can also assess online courses. The only course we accept without individual assessment is OMPT Mathematics test B and D. All other tests we will individually asses, once we receive an application with attached documentation.
We can also assess completed parts of higher educational programs if relevant for the required subjects.
The most important is that you upload documentation for all competencies that are to be assessed in regards to the admissions requirements to your application.

Yes, you have until 5 July at 12:00 to document your exam.
If you are not able to document your exam by 5 July but will be able to before study start 1 September, please let us know on the application and before 5 July attach your preliminary results and a verification form of the hours you are expected to complete in the required subjects.

Documentation we need is:
- Documentation for your upper secondary exam.
We need all the documents that your final diploma consists of including a transcript of all your subjects. - Most applicants also need to fill out and attach a verification form for the hours they have been taught in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.
- If you have completed parts of other higher educational programs, we need documentation for this. Please enclose a detailed course description in English.
If you are in doubt about what you need to document or if you fulfill the admissions requirements, please upload documentation for all your educational qualifications and then we will assess the documentation in regards to the admission requirements.

All applicants are given the final answer to their application on 28 July (if the 28th falls on a weekend, you will receive the final answer the Friday before).
Are you offered admission at University College Absalon, you will receive the offer of admission through nemstudie.
If you have applied for admission for an available seat after 28 July, you can see when you will receive an answer to your application on our ‘Available seats’ page on our website.

If your application is submitted through www.optagelse.dk/admission you can upload documentation there until 5 July at 12:00.
If you have submitted your application via nemstudie, you can upload new documentation there, if we have asked for any. If you wish to upload documentation that we have not asked for, please send us a note from nemstudie or an e-mail to admission@pha.dk. It is important that you DO NOT enclose the documentation in the e-mail.
