Kalundborg: Heart of global biotechnological industry

Kalundborg Symbiosis is known as the Biotech City of Denmark due to the many companies concentrated in the city and their cooperation in the world’s first working industrial symbiosis.

The Industrial symbiosis engages the following organizations in a network to foster eco-innovation and long term cultural exchange.

Festivals and events in Kalundborg

Kalundborg Rocker is a two day rock music festival, which takes place in August.

"Musik i Gryden" is an outdoor summer musical event in Kalundborg town.

Kino Kalundborg presents a great variety of films, ranging from animated films for children, blockbusters and Avant-Garde.  It also presents Stand-up, talks and concerts with Danish artists all year round.

Each year the Kalundborg Libraries present a coprehensive programme of music, drama, readings and debates.
